Day trip to

Tequila

Spend a Day in Tequila Town. In the UNESCO-listed agave landscape surrounding Tequila, tour a historic distillery like La Rojeña (Jose Cuervo Distillery), walk cobblestone streets, and sip tequila where it’s actually made. The blue agave fields rolling into the distance make the journey just as memorable as the tastings.

Ride Through the Agave Fields. Whether by private driver or aboard the iconic Jose Cuervo Express, travel through vast blue-green agave landscapes, learn about harvesting and production, and understand why tequila is so deeply tied to this region’s identity.

If you want to make a

trip out of it…

You could come to Guadalajara just for the wedding — but it’s truly a destination worth lingering in.

Five days here feels natural, not busy. Between historic plazas, beautiful architecture, contemporary art spaces, exceptional food, artisan neighborhoods, and a day among the agave fields of Tequila country, the experience unfolds with depth and variety. It’s a city where culture, design, and everyday life blend effortlessly.

If you’d like to extend your trip, Guadalajara pairs beautifully with two very different settings:

Add Mexico City

  • A vibrant cultural capital known for world-class museums, remarkable dining, and elegant neighborhoods.
Flight time: ~45–60 minutes with frequent daily flights.

It offers a cosmopolitan contrast to Guadalajara’s creative, regional character.

  • Think: big-city energy, incredible food, museums you actually want to visit, leafy neighborhoods, cocktail bars, and that cosmopolitan buzz.
    • Only 45–60 min flight from Guadalajara
    • Tons of daily flights = super easy hop
    • Feels totally different: Guadalajara is artsy + soulful, CDMX is bold + global

Perfect combo if you love food, culture, and a little “main character in a movie” energy.

Or go beach mode

  • Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita, or Sayulita

A beautiful transition from city to sea.
    Puerto Vallarta: ~45 min flight.
Punta Mita: Fly to Puerto Vallarta + 45 min drive (refined, resort-focused)
Sayulita: Fly to Puerto Vallarta + 1 hour drive (charming, relaxed coastal town)

Together, these destinations create a journey with balance — culture, landscape, and time to unwind. Weather at that time of the year is perfect for a beach vacay!
